Jackson

Pine Cone Birdtreats

This was a fun afternoon craft activity...start with lots of large pine cones, which we happen have by the millions in our yard. Tie some string on the tops to hang them by.Add lots of gooey peanut butter to the pine cones, and your mouth...:)
Then roll them in birdseed.

We have been saving our Christmas tree for when we actually had time to do this. It is now redecorated, outside, for the bird and squirrels, who love all the awesome treats.

Happy Birthday Silas!!

13 Candles...Silas is officially a teenager!!!

Jackson was impressed by Silas' candle blowing abilities, and sang a funny little rendition of Happy Birthday.

The highlight of the boys' night...hooking up Guitar Hero...even Jackson was enthralled.

Rock Creek

Our first trip to Rock Creek for the year occured yesterday....brrr. I always forget how much colder and snowier it stays up there, late into the spring, even though it is only a few miles from our house. Jackson enjoyed himself anyways, the snow was slushy and slippery, so he was wet and exhausted from falling over a million times and splashing around in the puddles that had thawed. He ate dinner when we got home, and was nearly asleep in his chair by 6:30. :)
