Birthday2

Well, heres the second installment of the third birthday of Mr. Jackson Schubarth. We spent the afternoon at grandma's. Me wrapping presents and making last minute preperations, Jackson playing with his new Playdough ice cream shop. Have I mentioned he LOVES playdough?

Next stop, Madagascar 2. Matt and I both took the afternoon off, so it was a whole family affair...lots of fun.

Then back to grandmas house for the p-a-r-t-y. Jackson decided that present opening happens first...cake and ice cream later.

Yeah...his own cash register...now maybe he'll stop trying to run the one at the store?

Finally, cake and ice cream time.

I am, as many of you know, feeling particularly lazy this year, so the cake was no home baked wonder, but a la' Baskin Robbins...luckily Jackson is still young enough to be super impressed by this.
The kids particularly liked the ice cream cones decorated with tons of frosting in the form of faces.
All in all, it was a very good day. If a little over sugared.

Birthday, phase one

Jackson got the early morning wake up for his birthday...Matt and I were both happy to finally turn the tables on the early bird sand be the first ones out of bed. of course he was more than happy to wake up for presents

Awesome, giant Mr.Potato Head from Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Jack, It is filled with regular sized potato heads, baby ones and tons of fun stuff to put on them.

The trunk of the Elefun game is best reached via chair...that way all the butterflies end up right in your net!!

Little Green Man

Leave him alone for two quiet minutes...and this is the result. Thankfully the marker was washable and was mostly applied to himself, and not the upholstery he was sitting on:)

Happy Halloween

Well, here it is. Halloween at last. Jackson got dressed up early, he would have had me put him in his costume first thing in the morning, if it was up to him. He spent a couple of hours practicing being a mean dinosaur...and then off for some trick-or-treating with Uncle Silas, the ninja.

The tail on Jacksons costume was the best part, he had my mom and I in stitches watching it move around when he was jumping around her house earlier.

After grandmas house/neighborhood we went to the mall, which is really a nice place to take kids for trick-or-treating...nice and warm!!

He couldn't quite believe that everyone kept putting candy in his pumpkin...kept stopping after every store to look inside, we had to keep him moving as people were piling up behind us, waiting for him to get done looking at his candy:)

Dad and Jackson finished up the night with an ice cream cone...can't tell who the kid with ice cream all over his face is in this picture? (the one with the facial hair:)
