Knight In Shining Goggles

So, this is Jacksons latest superhero outfit...helmet, sword, shield, computer bag and his "girl pink" swimming goggles that are so small they scrunch his eyes closed. Now he is ready to "hunt ogres, like Batman." :) Memories, Memories.

Lego Men Love Cinnamon Toast

According to Jackson Lego Men love cinnamon toast, lucky for them he eats it EVERY morning for breakfast.
Juno sits by his chair the entire time he eats and gets all of his crust, I think that is part of why he always wants toast, if he does choose cereal, he doesn't have anything to give to Juno:) realizes it, and asks for toast instead.

Goodnight, George

As many of you know, Jackson was REALLY into his Curious Georges for a long time. He packed them everywhere with him, and of course they came with us to the hospital in Seattle when he had surgery. I don't know if it was an association with them and surgery? but when we got home he lost all interst in them and started sleeping with/carrying around a rather large hard plastic dinosaur, who he called "Dinoroar." But recently, he is loving his Georges again. They are reading stories with us before bed, getting their teeth brushed and sleeping with him again. I wish I knew what what goes on in his head sometimes:)

A Boy and His Dog

This is a slightly older picture ( Jackson has since had a haircut:) of Jackson with his "best friend" Juno on a fishing trip to Rock Creek. If it was up to him we would take Juno absolutely everywhere with us. Luckily Juno feels the same way about him.

Canning

In the vein of our massive blueberry picking adventure, we have also been canning all summer. These pictures were taken on pickle making day, when Jackson decided to do some canning of his own. He filled jars with legos, plastic animals, shredded paper...pretty much anything he could get his hands on in the mayhem going on in the kitchen, including it turned out later my car keys:)

Blueberry Baby

So, last week Jackson, Grandma and I decided to drive to Idaho to pick blueberries. As we left Montana it was a little cloudy, as we approached Couer d' Alaine it was raining, and by the time we drove into town the downpour was so torrential we decided to stop for some rain gear. As we approached the berry farm, 4 1/2 hours from home a huge mass of black clouds was moving in. The blueberry gods must have smiled on us, because 3 1/2 hours later we had picked 60 pounds of blueberries without a drop of rain touching us, and then it poured all the way home. As you can see Jackson had a great time, he loved the picnic we had after we were done, and his baby deer (plastic animals) were very helpful with picking.
