Doggy Dentistry

Today Juno got her teeth cleaned. Jackson used watermelon toothpaste and his very own toothbrush. :) He was so excited, like he was really helping her to avoid cavities and all the trauma that comes with them (we now have a Little Critter book that talks about cavities and going to the dentist). I personally love the look on Juno's face...like she could almost keep sleeping through the whole thing. She is such a good dog!

Paleontology Kit

We broke out the paleontology kit that Grandma got Jackson for his birthday, again. This is a replica dinosaur fossil embedded in a cement like block of plaster, which you use a wooden dowel to chip away at to reveal the fossil. Jackson loves it. We succeeded in extracting a couple of leg bones and most of the head..."looks like it going to be some kind of a therapod"...according to our in-house dinosaur expert.

Showing the Two

I asked Jackson where he had picked up giving the peace sign for pictures..."What's a peace sign?" he asked. When I demonstrated he said "Mom, that's not a peace sign. That's showing the two." :)

A Worthy Adversary

Warming up

There is still snow on the ground and ice on everything, but it's starting to feel a little warmer outside...Jackson played all afternoon without a jacket, just to show me how warm it is. Montana kid. :)

Lincoln Logs

Good times with the huge set of Lincoln Logs that Grammy Ellen and Grandpa Jack gave Jackson for Christmas. They have been seriously upgraded since the old days- even come with inserts to make doors and windows.

Where did this come from? Jackson has started making the peace sign to say goodbye and/or to pose for pictures...:)

Juno and Shades

Juno is obviously NOT impressed with Jackson's new sunglasses.
At least he's not trying to dress her up in clothes, I guess.

Battle with a Boxer

Jackson was on the losing end of this play session with Saphira...she still doesn't get "don't jump," or more appropriately "don't jump and rake your sharp claws across my face." The bandaids were self applied by Jackson.

Jackson Smiles

Jackson, smile so I can take your picture...smile and open your eyes. Open your eyes.
Nope.

Nevermind.
